Okay, originally, this post was supposed to be about how biostats killed my brain (it did)…but then I realised that the last ten (?) posts of mine in this blog are all about exams, school, brain death, etc etc. So I thought ‘How boring!’ (Okay, so maybe these weren’t the exact words). So I set off to think of something new to write and so far I came up with….

nothing.

Hmph. I never claimed to be much of a writer anyway. So I’ve decided to just write about whatever pops up in my brain. Which is mostly ramblings. Hence the title. Anyway, I’ve recently discovered that my cousin have a blog! I was just browsing through, she mostly wrote in Indonesian, which got me thinking, I haven’t written anything in Indonesian in this blog! Pretty weird, considering I am as a matter of fact, Indonesian.

But no, I’m not going to write in Indon. It sounds/looks weird! Honestly, I can’t think of the last time I wrote an entire paragraph in Indon, probably back in primary school when I was still studying back there. I guess that’s just me. You know, being Indonesian, a lot of people expected me to join the Indonesian Society in my Uni but I didn’t. I never felt the need to!

Some Indonesians, I’ve noticed, only socialise with other Indonesians. If so, why do you choose to study overseas? Isn’t the purpose of studying overseas is to meet new people, form a global network (etc etc, not gonna talk about it). Maybe they are just looking for a sense of familiarity? I guess I’m different… I mean since I’ve been here for about 6 years, so I guess I’ve integrated into the society here? You’ll be surprised at how many people actually think I’m Singaporean haha. But I still consider Indonesia as home though. Oh and don’t get me wrong here, I have nothing against Indonesia, I love my country and I’m proud to be an Indonesian. This paragraph is just me wondering about the attitude of some foreign students here (I told you in the beginning that I would be rambling didn’t I)

On other news, my phone died (AGAIN). I can’t even turn it on for more than one minute. I think there’s something wrong with the battery, so I’ll try buying a new battery. See if it works.

Wow this post is getting long.

Damn phone. It is seriously pissing me off. The new battery better work. I can only go buy it after Monday though. Another new reason to look forward to the end of the exams.

Okay, can’t think of anything else to write

おやすみ!

P.S. One of these days I need to write an entire post in Japanese. Probably Monday, before Japanese exam, for practice’s sake. [stats exam is from 9am to 11am and Japanese exam is from 5 pm to 7 pm, so I have six hours break -_-]
